In the midst of everything crazy, hectic, distressing or distracting, what a gift to be able to take off for an afternoon to Tanglewood and hear Sonny Rollins give a lovely, late-summer, sunny-day concert with my husband and kids to celebrate our 11th wedding anniversary.
Non-alky drink in my hand, for those of you wondering. Wine glasses were an indulgence for our celebratory beverage selection: reasonably-priced Ariel-brand de-alcoholized wine, as well as some lime-flavored mineral water from Italy. Also on hand: fresh organic tomatoes from Red Fire Farm, a block of Parmesean cheese, olive oil and vinegar for dipping, a loaf of hearty French bread, and fresh basil leaves, plus a lovely cranberry-and-walnut torte from Trader Joe’s. Heaven!
