Aside from grooving to local bands Winterpills and Spouse recently, I have been unable-to-get-enough of my cousin Josh’s band, Tapes ‘n Tapes.
Their debut “The Loon” was released last November, in time for family members to get a CD in their Christmas stockings, and only now am I getting around to listening to it. (I was not a cool enough family member to receive my own copy, so I’m borrowing my sister’s. Nudge.)
I may not be cool, but the album is hot! Hot, I tell you!
Now I find out that TnT performed at SXSW this year, plus they’re getting reviews at pitchforkmedia.com and gothamist.com. Way to go, guys.
Plus, did I mention they rock?
